Halal Meat

Bismillah...

This is a forwarded information I got from a family member. It is very easy to understand.

"WHAT IS HALAL MEAT?"

My dear brothers and sisters. Most of us have a very wrong understanding about the meaning of halal slaughter.

I was asked by a non muslim professor once what makes a meat halal and I didn't know an explanation and was embarrassed but gave a vague answer saying that we say the prayer before we cut, that makes it halal.

I came back and went through hadiths and articles written by muslim scholars and finally came to an understanding. I am going to explain it to you in a scientific way so that Insha Allah in the future if anyone asks you the same question you will be prepared to give this answer.

WHAT MAKES A MEAT HALAL OR HARAM?

Answer: It is the undrained blood that contaminates the meat makes it haram.
What these non-muslim butchers do is completely chop of the head as a result of which the connection between the brain and the heart is lost hence the heart stops pumping/beating almost instantaneously therefore there is no driving force to push the blood out of the body. As a result of this the blood stagnates in the veins and arteries and contaminates the meat.

Scientifically it is proven that blood is one of the best culture mediums to grow bacteria. Consuming meat contaminated with blood makes humans more vulnerable to infections and joint pains. Joint pains because of high uric acid levels in blood.

SO WHAT IS THE HALAL WAY?

Answer:   In halal way we do not chop off the head completely but instead we cut the main vein (jugular vein) in the neck first. (This vein contains venous blood in high pressure and it directly connects to the atrium of the heart without any interference). This method of slaughtering preserves the connection between the brain and the heart which allows neural transmissions to be delivered. This keeps the heart pumping/beating until all the blood is drained off completely from every vein and artery in the body making the meat pure and thus halal.
SUBHANALLAH.

SO THE NEXT QUESTION IS WHAT MAKES FISH HALAL EVEN THOUGH IT IS NOT SLAUGHTERED THIS WAY?

Allah SWT has created fish in such a way that the moment it is removed from water the entire blood in its body is redirected to a part called the epiglottis in its mouth which turns bright red thus indicating that the blood is drained and the meat is pure.
SUBHANALLAH.

Happiness

Bismillah...

Alhamdulillah. Something to be recited every second.

Be grateful with all the little things we have as those with everything may not be happy with what they have...
Happiness comes from the heart and not things.
Lets be happy and grateful with what we have.

Kyoto

Bismillah...

Kyoto is a city you must visit if you're in Japan. It is one of the beautiful, breathtaking,  awesome place to take photos and admire the nature.

We arrived in the afternoon.  Kyoto station is a convenient place where you can find other public transport for your next destination. We took a taxi to our guest house.  The rate is quite expensive if you're travelling alone.

Our guest house is 10 to 15 minutes away from Kyoto station. It's a 1+1 bedroom guest house with one toilet. The first floor has a complete kitchen, washing machine, bathtub etc. The second floor has 1+1 bedroom: you have to pass through the first bedroom to get to the second bedroom.

The guest house is in the city. After checking in and prayed, we took a bicycle tour around Kyoto. You have to be fit to cycle through town. It was breezy and fun riding a bicycle like the locals.

We cycled to a shrine on top of the hill. The view is so beautiful.

Later that night we ate dinner at a local restaurant in town. It was super delicious and awesome.

Tokyo to Kyoto

Bismillah...

Our plan was actually to stay in Tokyo for 3 days and Osaka 2 days. However,  we changed our plans and headed to Kyoto on the third day. Luckily I didn't book or made any hotel reservations for the rest of the trip. Things happened for a great reason.  We get to visit Kyoto in our short 5 days Japan trip.

You can reach Kyoto from Tokyo via
  • Air plane; the closest airport to Kyoto is Osaka's Itami Airport. It is one hour to Kyoto.
  • Highway bus; about 7-8hours ride
  • local train; about 9 hours typically involves about 4 transfers of train
  • Car; about 5 to 6 hours without breaks and traffic jams
  • Shinkansen (Japanese Bullet Train); there are 3 types: Nozomi, Hikari, Kodoma. It takes about 140 to 160 minutes.

JR Tokaido Shinkansen cost ¥12550 which took about 140 to 160 minutes. This was my first time riding a bullet train. I was so excited. The inside of the train is better than AirAsia airbus. It's spacious, comfortable and clean.

You can do almost anything in shinkansen.  Eat, sleep, read, etc. You can eat your own meal without hesitation. We ate our sushi which we bought at Shinjuku station earlier.

After arriving Kyoto station, we took a taxi to our guest house. The taxi driver is so polite. Everyone was polite and friendly.

Kyoto, a place to visit again.

Tokyo

Bismillah...

On our first day in Japan we explored Tokyo via its public transport. We paid 1800 yen for the Tokyo sightseeing Hop on Hop off bus. The operating hours are from 9am until 5pm.

It had 3 routes. We were given a map to choose our own route and timing for each stop. We went to a shrine, Tokyo Tree Tower etc.

We were lost after visiting the shrine. But it was worth walking along the road and just watch the environment and enjoy the view.

The day ended with shopping and eating sushi above a rail station.

Fun happy experience with cousins in Tokyo.

Japan; Tokyo, Kyoto & Osaka expenses

Bismillah...

Most of my trips are backpack self trip. Technically I'll try my best to find the cheapest alternative. For my Japan trip I spent less than rm5000.00 including Airasia tickets, 3 amusement parks and souvenirs.

The summary:

Work hard to earn more for other trips.
