Halal Meat

Bismillah...

This is a forwarded information I got from a family member. It is very easy to understand.

"WHAT IS HALAL MEAT?"

My dear brothers and sisters. Most of us have a very wrong understanding about the meaning of halal slaughter.

I was asked by a non muslim professor once what makes a meat halal and I didn't know an explanation and was embarrassed but gave a vague answer saying that we say the prayer before we cut, that makes it halal.

I came back and went through hadiths and articles written by muslim scholars and finally came to an understanding. I am going to explain it to you in a scientific way so that Insha Allah in the future if anyone asks you the same question you will be prepared to give this answer.

WHAT MAKES A MEAT HALAL OR HARAM?

Answer: It is the undrained blood that contaminates the meat makes it haram.
What these non-muslim butchers do is completely chop of the head as a result of which the connection between the brain and the heart is lost hence the heart stops pumping/beating almost instantaneously therefore there is no driving force to push the blood out of the body. As a result of this the blood stagnates in the veins and arteries and contaminates the meat.

Scientifically it is proven that blood is one of the best culture mediums to grow bacteria. Consuming meat contaminated with blood makes humans more vulnerable to infections and joint pains. Joint pains because of high uric acid levels in blood.

SO WHAT IS THE HALAL WAY?

Answer:   In halal way we do not chop off the head completely but instead we cut the main vein (jugular vein) in the neck first. (This vein contains venous blood in high pressure and it directly connects to the atrium of the heart without any interference). This method of slaughtering preserves the connection between the brain and the heart which allows neural transmissions to be delivered. This keeps the heart pumping/beating until all the blood is drained off completely from every vein and artery in the body making the meat pure and thus halal.
SUBHANALLAH.

SO THE NEXT QUESTION IS WHAT MAKES FISH HALAL EVEN THOUGH IT IS NOT SLAUGHTERED THIS WAY?

Allah SWT has created fish in such a way that the moment it is removed from water the entire blood in its body is redirected to a part called the epiglottis in its mouth which turns bright red thus indicating that the blood is drained and the meat is pure.
SUBHANALLAH.

Super Shopaholic

Bismillah...

A shopaholic will never confess they're shopaholic; They're just buying cheap good stuff after all.

Ewa and I

November 2012 has been the worst month ever in my saving money history.

Fine dining
In this few months, I've been trying to save money and almost succeeded when something happened and I spent like hell. I saved more than 3k and was about to save more . I was so happy. It's a miracle that I did save for my future *it was for my future*.

ThePoplook Obsession
How did I manage to save?

  • I spent less *of course*
  • I stayed home *most of the time*
  • I brought breakfast from home *buying less for more money in my purse*
  • I did less fun activity *I rarely watch movies, going out with friends, did things which doesn't cost a penny*
  • I ate less expensive food *a big NO to dining in expensive restaurants*
Something happened and I snapped, and suddenly, before I know what I was doing, I spent like hell. Define hell; "The worst situation anyone could ever imagine".

What exactly did I do???
  • I bought 2 pairs of Lewre wedges. *It was 50% off, so I just had to buy 2; the same design but different colors*
  • I bought 7 pieces of clothes from The Poplook online *1 blouse and 6 dresses. I'm addicted to their simple chick sophisticated design*
  • I bought 6 shawls in Jalan TAR *I got 3 shawls with the same design but different colors*
  • I bought clothes form Jalan TAR *peach matching clothes for myself and mum*
  • I bought stuff from IKEA *This month itself I went there more than 3 times*
  • I went out with friends *going out means I'll spend more than rm100. Do the math of going out more than 10 times this month*
  • I went shopping for my brothers and sister *I bought them foods and stuff as they're going back to their university*
  • I forgot the rest.....

I never felt so happy this last few months *as I was trying to save for a cause*. Shopping made me the happiest person alive.
